The City of Warren Fire Department's mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and visitors from the adverse effects of natural and man-made emergencies. Our goal is to provide a protection program through a cost-efficient approach to emergency response, fire code application and public fire education.
City of Warren burn regulations
- All burning whether in a container or in the open requires a permit in advance of burning.
- Permits are free, and may be obtained by calling 870-226-8302.
- You must attend your fire at all times.
- No petroleum based products shall be burned. (tires, roofing, plastic)
- You must have a water hose connected or other means of controlling the fire available at all times.
- Fire must be out by sunset.
- All fires must be a minimum of 15 feet from any structures.
- It is unlawful to deposit any combustible material such as limbs, leaves, and grass clippings into any ditch, street, alley, or on public property of the City.
- It is unlawful to burn anything in or on any ditch, street, alley, or on public property.
- You must call prior to igniting any fire to check on weather conditions and possible burn bans.
- Violators of this ordinance if found guilty may be fined up to $500 dollars.

Whenever a burn ban is issued no burning of any kind is allowed.
The Warren Fire Department consists of the Fire Chief, 3 full time fireman, and 33 volunteers on call. The central fire station is located in the Emergency Service Center. It houses 3 fire engines and a rescue truck. The department also manages an unmanned substation on N. Ethridge St with one fire engine. Volunteers report to the station as needed.
The City’s fire insurance rating is 3 on a scale of 1 to 10 where 1 is the best.
All firemen and volunteers train monthly.
